3.1.2 Necessary for entering into a contract with the data subject. Another lawful reason for processing your personal data under EU data protection laws is when it is necessary to take initial steps prior to entering into a contract or to fulfill a contract with you, cf. Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR. This is the case for the processes set out in items 2.1.3 and 2.1.4 above.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (USA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the United States to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.

In accordance with CalOPPA, we agree that users can visit our sites anonymously. If our
Privacy Policy changes, any updates can be found on this page. You can change your personal information by emailing us. Please note that we allow third-party behavioral tracking.

Fair Information Practices (USA)

To adhere to Fair Information Practices, we will notify users via email within seven (7) business days should a data breach occur.

We also abide by the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. California Privacy Rights Act (USA)

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.
